We’re very proud of our current student newspaper, but it isn’t the first time the school has had one.
It turns out that Mila, one of our team of Hort helpers, was once a student at IMS. What’s more, she told us that she was also a member of the Newspaper AG during her time at the school.
Mila still has some copies of the IMS newspaper from 2012 and 2013, which she kindly brought to school for us to look at.
As you can see, it was a fantastic publication, including stories, reviews, comics and even songs. (By the way, one of Mila’s articles was all about chewing gum. Can you see it here?).
Back then, the IMS newspaper was printed on paper. For us, it’s easier and more efficient to publish our newspaper online, but one day we will probably try to create a paper version as well, just to find out exactly what is involved.
Perhaps one of the most interesting pieces of news was from June 2013, when the newspaper announced that the school was going to move to a new location in Wannsee.
That was quite a long time ago, but luckily we are still here, in our beautiful building just a short walk from the lake. ❤️
