Autumn activities and the harvest festival

Leaves are falling, and so are temperatures. Which can only mean one thing: Autumn is here.

At IMS, we celebrated the change in season with a day of exciting craft activities, each designed to make use of the abundant natural materials on our doorstep, as well as to commemorate harvest festival itself.

The kids in 1-3 visited each others’ classrooms to print using leaves, sculpt with chestnuts, create Autumn-themed goodie bags, and plenty more besides.

The older 4-6 students had the chance to make some lovely seasonal wreaths or – in a tribute to upcoming Halloween – carve spooky pumpkin heads and write creepy stories to go with them.

Throughout the school, the students were not only engrossed in their work, but had lots of fun besides.

Thanks, then, to everyone for making our 2022 harvest festival event such a colourful, bountiful success!
